Hard Maple Regular Shell

Our Regular 7 mm, shells, have a slightly higher stiffness compared to Studio shells and resist some of the energy transfer from the heads. With slightly less vibration, a trade-off is achieved allowing the sound to be slightly cooler than a thin shell drum, but with greater volume and projection. These shells represent a great choice for all around, general purpose applications, offering a warm, full bodied wood tone, with great attack, loudness and presence. Comes standard with S45° bearing edge, snare bed type C, ds hi-carbon steel 22 strand snare wire and 2.3mm triple flange steel hoops.

Available size: 14x4, 14x41/2, 14x5, 14x51/2, 14x6, 14x61/2, 14x7, 14x71/2, 14x8, 14x9 and 14x10

Hard Maple Studio Shell

Our 5+5 mm, shell enables easy energy transfer from the heads to the shell, thus causing the shells to fully vibrate. This vibration give a very rich, warm "wood" tone to the overall sound that can be most appreciated close to the kit while it's played. This effect is also great for recording where miking techniques can capture on the warmth and natural tone of this shell. Comes standard with S45° bearing edge, snare bed type C, ds hi-carbon steel 22 strand snare wire and 2.3mm triple flange steel hoops.

Available size: 14x4, 14x41/2, 14x5, 14x51/2, 14x6, 14x61/2 and 14x7

Hard Maple Dynamite Shell

Dynamite 10 mm drum shells are extremely efficient and allow most of the player's energy to be focused through the heads directly to the audience. Since the shell provides greater mass, less volume is lost through the shell in the form of resonance. They offer good tone and warmth but at reduced levels compared to the Regular and Studio shells. Comes standard with S45° bearing edge, snare bed type C, ds hi-carbon steel 22 strand snare wire and 2.3mm triple flange steel hoops.

Available size: 14x4, 14x41/2, 14x5, 14x51/2, 14x6, 14x61/2, 14x7, 14x71/2, 14x8, 14x9 and 14x10

Hard Maple Supersonic Shell

Loud and clear are the two adjectives for these thick Supersonic 15 mm shells. This shell offer the volume that you would expect from such a thick shell without losing sensitivity or articulation. Ideal for big venues and other applications requiring high sound pressure levels and ultimate volume. Snare drums made in these thicknesses rival metal snare drums in intensity and projection, providing a great crack with extreme volume. Comes standard with S45° bearing edge, snare bed type C, ds hi-carbon steel 22 strand snare wire and 2.3mm triple flange steel hoops.

Available size: 14x4, 14x41/2, 14x5, 14x51/2, 14x6, 14x61/2, 14x7, 14x71/2, 14x8, 14x9 and 14x10
